WCX Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
LabGo WCX is a hybrid column for solid-phase extraction with weak cation exchange and hydrophobicity, containing slightly acidic functional groups of carboxylic acids. It is used to pre-process samples of highly basic compounds such as quaternary ammonium. It is a weak cation exchange, hybrid, water-wetted polymer adsorbent that is stable in the pH range from 0 to 14.
WCX has all the benefits of HLB. A stable, highly selective solid-phase extraction method using WCX allows monitoring, validation and quantification of highly basic compounds such as quaternary ammonium in a variety of sample matrices.

Typical Applications
Acidic drugs and their metabolites in body fluids and tissue extracts, drug monitoring (including screening, identification, confirmation, and quantification), food additives and contaminants, etc. WCX is a hybrid low-cation exchange adsorbent based on PS/DVB with large pores, modified with carboxyl groups. The benzene ring has strong hydrophobicity, and the carboxyl groups provide a weak cation exchange capacity, making it suitable for the extraction of weak cationic compounds.
