LabGo Carb-GCB/PSA bilayer SPE composite columns provide GCB/NH2-like retention capacity for sample cleaning in multi-residue pesticide analyses. PSA has an additional secondary amine group, resulting in a higher ion exchange capacity, and acts as a complexing ligand for some metal ions, providing a different selectivity from GCB/NH2.

Typical Applications
Carb-GCB/PSA is used to remove dyes, sterols, fatty acids, and organic acids from food systems and is particularly suitable for the determination of pesticide residues in foods, including fruits, vegetables, meat, aquatic products, grains, and dairy products. PSA removes fatty acids (including oleic, palmitic, linoleic, etc.) up to 99%, which significantly reduces matrix effects in GC analysis.
